2009 Strathtyrum Tournament Program

A scratch and handicap tournament for ladies playing a handicap not exceeding 12.

Program itinerary includes:

• Entry to Strathtyrum Tournament
  • Practice rounds (2) on Eden and New Course
  • Qualifying rounds (2) on Eden and New Course
    • Sleeveless wind shirt
    • BBQ social
  • Match play for qualifiers on Eden Course
  • Medal play for non-qualifiers on Strathtyrum Course
  • Stableford handicap play for eliminated competitors on Jubilee Course
• Practice time at the famous St. Andrews Practice Centre
• Ground transportation from/to Edinburgh airport, to/from golf courses
• Single-room residence hall accommodations, private shower and bathroom facilities, linens, blankets, and daily towel service
• Daily cooked Scottish breakfast

Tournament format:
Sunday, August 9, practice rounds on Eden and New Courses
Monday, August 10, qualifying round on the Eden Course
Tuesday, August 11, qualifying round on the New Course
32 low scratch scores qualify for scratch match play on the Eden Course for the Strathtyrum Trophy, Wednesday, August 12, Thursday, August 13, and Friday August 14.
16 low net scores failing to qualify, compete in handicap match play on the Eden Course for the Strathtyrum Salver on Thursday August 13, and Friday August 14.

Remaining non-qualifiers compete in scratch and handicap medal play on the Strathtyrum Course Thursday, August 13.

All eliminated players may play in a handicap Stableford competition on the Jubilee Course Friday, August 14.

Balloting for the Old Course (daily lottery for tee times) can be arranged and added to the itinerary. Over 50% of daily ballots are successful, and there is no charge for balloting.

Green fees (£130.00 – approx. $260.00) for the Old Course are not included.
