A scratch and handicap tournament for ladies under 23 years of age on January 1, 2009 and playing a handicap not exceeding 18.

• Entry to St. Andrews Junior Ladies Open

  • Qualifying round on Strathtyrum Course

Tournament format:
Monday, August 3, practice round on Strathtyrum Course
Tuesday, August 4, qualifying round on Strathtyrum Course

16 low scratch scores qualify for scratch match play on the Eden Course, Wednesday, August 5, and on the Old Course Thursday, August 6, and Friday, August 7, for the Golf Monthly Trophy and title of St. Andrews Links 2009 Junior Ladies Open Champion.

8 low handicap scores failing to qualify, compete in handicap match play on the Old Course for the Girls’ Open Quaich on Thursday, August 6, and Friday, August 7.

Remaining non-qualifiers compete in a handicap Stableford competition on the Eden Course Wednesday, August 5.

Balloting for the Old Course (daily lottery for tee times) can be arranged and added to the itinerary. Over 50% of daily ballots are successful, and there is no charge for balloting.

Green fees (£130.00 – approx. $260.00) for the Old Course are not included.
